The U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Federation (USVISF) proudly took its first major step toward a more sustainable future with the launch of a new recycling initiative at the Bethlehem Soccer Complex.
This effort marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to “going green” and reducing the environmental footprint of soccer operations across the territory. As one of the most active sporting hubs in the Virgin Islands, the Bethlehem Soccer Complex now serves as the starting point for meaningful change, both on and off the field.
The initiative introduces accessible recycling stations throughout the complex, encouraging players, coaches, families, and fans to properly dispose of plastic, aluminum, and other recyclable materials. By making recycling a visible and convenient part of the matchday experience, the USVISF aims to build habits that extend beyond the pitch and into everyday life.
This first step is about more than just waste management, it’s about leadership. The USVISF recognizes the role sports organizations play in shaping communities and inspiring action. By integrating sustainability into its operations, the Federation hopes to set a positive example for youth athletes and partner organizations alike.
The USVISF extends its gratitude to the community for embracing this effort and encourages everyone who visits the Bethlehem Soccer Complex to participate. Together, we can protect the natural beauty of the Virgin Islands while continuing to grow the game we love.
