The top four teams in the U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Federation’s men’s Premier League will face off Sunday as the league’s regular season enters its final two weeks.
At the Bethlehem Soccer Complex on St. Croix, undefeated Rovers Soccer Club (11-0-0, 33 points) faces five-time league champion and St. Croix Division No. 2 Helenites Sports Club (7-0-3, 21 points). Game time is 5 p.m.
Meanwhile, two matches are slated for the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School field on St. Thomas, headlined by New Vibes Soccer Club (12-0-2, 36 points) taking on LRVI Football Club (13-0-1, 39 points) at 4 p.m.
The second match will have Massey Football Club (4-0-10, 12 points) facing Raymix Soccer Club (4-0-9, 12 points) at 7:30 p.m.
Top performances
Roldeson Lazard, Rovers Soccer Club: Scored six goals in an 11-1 victory over Prankton Soccer Club. Lazard scored in the sixth, 11th, 17th, 19th, 27th and 42nd minutes.
Vasco Palacios, Rovers Soccer Club: Added four second-half goals in win over Prankton SC. Palacios scored in the 45th, 54th, 65th and 75th minutes.
Nigel Sanderson, Panthers FC: Had three second-half goals in a 4-1 victory over Old Madrid FC. Sanderson scored in the 62nd, 77th and 88th minutes.
